VIKING represents the future of atomistic modeling. It’s user friendly interface puts the power of molecular dynamics and quantum chemistry calculations in the palms of emerging researchers. As an experimentalist, I believe VIKING will bridge the gap between simulation and experiments in my group, allowing us to make more impactful scientific discoveries.

VIKING is today our preferred platform for our first CRISPR Analysis software, ProfileIt, with Pharma and Biotech users from all over the world.
I used VIKING for 2nd year undergraduate teaching, where students calculated the heat capacity of unfolding of a small peptide using MD simulations. The laboratory ran smoothly, students, even without significant prior training, were comfortable using VIKING on their own computers. I will use it again for undergraduate teaching in the future.
Amazing how much is going on “behind the curtain” while the user can focus on the experiments and results.
I think that the software is very intuitive and it didn’t take me long time to familiarize myself with the workflow. A pleasure to use and play around with – even for a biophysicist with no prior experience with simulations!
